Last September, my wife and I visited Cuba for the first time. It was amazing, and for a writer like me, it was a dream come true. Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean. The country has always been an intriguing place. This is due, in part, for its stubborn relations with the United States. For many years, Cuba was to many Americans a far-off place frozen in time. I did not see that, however. As we’ll see in the video, the Cuban capital is as modern as any capital in the Americas. Of course, it has its urban problems like all the places I’ve visited. If you want explicit details about the trip, you can read an essay I wrote shortly after I returned from Cuba last year. Read here: A weekend in Havana
