Our Conversation: Back from a long break

I have to apologize for not being consistent. I had several projects that kept me pinned down. I’m still swamped with work, but I just found a way to be with you while working on those projects. I hope everyone had a wonderful start of the New Year. You wanna know if I continue to maintain my morning exercise? Of course, yes. I can’t imagine going through the day without my early morning physical activities. To me, this is the best way to face, fight off and ultimately beat back my invading stressors.

On the literary front, there are some interesting things going on. First, there is this documentary about my literary progress that should be coming up in the near future. Titled Ardain Isma: An Author’s Journey is produced by Jamaican filmmaker Dean Noel. Then, there are a couple of novels. Actually, it’s one contemporary novel and a Haitian-American triptych. I recently published a short Valentine’s story on CSMS Magazine. It depicts my younger years in Miami.

On the social justice front, I continue to raise awareness about the Haitian dilemma through a series of articles published on CSMS Magazine. I also take aim at the media establishment for its obviously raw biases during this election cycle in the United States. I’m not sure if I can publish every morning, but I will be consistent. I’m not going to let you down. But even if you don’t see this rubric, you can still go to CSMS Magazine www.csmsmagazine.org to get the latest of news analyses.

Thank You for your continued support! —Dr. Ardain Isma, Educator, Author.
