I have always said it is crucial for a writer to have his own medium in order to promote his writing. An author page is a step closer to building that medium. It is crucial for two reasons: To get your name out there and to make sure that it stays there. Building a website, however, requires some software or programming expertise. It’s an investment—in time and in money. One can understand why many writers, wisely so, are using platforms like Facebook, You Tube and others to promote themselves. In this short piece, I’m going to share with you what I have found in my search for the best tool, in my view, a writer could use for self-promotion. I have discovered that YouTube is the most effective one. Natasa in New York Book Editor agrees. In a particularly important piece, she explains what authors can do to promote themselves using the YouTube platform. You can click here: How to Use YouTube to Promote Yourself.
